Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?

No. With most insurances you are able to directly access a physical therapist without a referral from a physician or other health care practitioner. If you have a problem that may benefit from the skilled services of a physical therapist, you may come in for an evaluation right away to stop pain in its tracks. Direct access to physical therapy is exciting because it allows you to get the care you need right away, without the unnecessary delay of waiting for a doctor’s appointment and referral.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. However, we are considered a hybrid clinic meaning we do not contract with some insurances due to their poor reimbursement rates and instead offer a competitive cash rate.Dr. Kiley is devoted to providing the best individualized care which is only possible by avoiding poor insurance contracts. Keep in mind you can still use your HSA funds even without using your insurance. Dr. Kiley can also provide a "Superbill" that you can send to your insurance for possible reimbursement for "Out of Network" benefits.

How long is each appointment ?

Your first visit will be 1 hour to allow Dr. Kiley to gather your full history as well the time to perform a comprehensive exam.

Follow-up visits will run 45 minutes.

Do you do internal pelvic exams?

Yes! While there are many ways we can treat pelvic floor dysfunction externally, sometimes palpating muscular trigger point and assessing function internally will give us a bit more information to help diagnose and treat. Internal assessment is totally optional and we understand if you want to get comfortable with external assessment before jumping into an internal exam.
